Kamloops United FC is back on home turf this Friday as both the men's and women's teams welcome Unity FC to Hillside Stadium for an important BC Premier League doubleheader.
Both sides are coming off competitive performances against Langley United last weekend. The men's team pushed one of the league's top clubs but ultimately fell 2 to 1, while the women's side earned a hard fought 2 to 2 draw in an entertaining contest.
For the men's team, Saturday's match presents a significant opportunity in the standings. Currently sitting at the bottom of the table, a victory over Unity FC would see Kamloops move above Unity in the standings. With points at a premium, Darren Sarll's side will be eager to capitalize on home field advantage and build momentum heading into the second half of the campaign.
The women's team faces a tougher challenge against a Unity FC squad that currently sits third in the league standings. Despite the difficult matchup, Kamloops enters the weekend with confidence after a string of encouraging performances and positive results. Haley Bartram's group has continued to show improvement throughout the season and will be looking to carry that form into another opportunity to upset one of the league's top sides.
With crucial points on the line for both teams, fans can expect an exciting evening of BC Premier League action at Hillside Stadium.
