After another stretch on the road, Kamloops United FC heads back to the coast this weekend for a BC Premier League matchup against Unity FC as both the men’s and women’s sides continue league play.
The road-heavy opening half of the season continues for KUFC, with both squads looking to build momentum against a Unity side facing very different situations on each side of the table.
On the men’s side, Kamloops enters the weekend still searching for their first points of the campaign, sitting on 0 points through five matches. Unity has also struggled early, collecting just a single point through their opening five games, setting up an important opportunity for both clubs as they look to climb out of the bottom of the standings.
For the KUFC women, the challenge gets even tougher against one of the league’s strongest starts to the season. Kamloops currently sits on 3 points through five matches, while the Unity women lead the table with 12 points in five games heading into the weekend clash.
With another big test on the coast ahead, both KUFC squads will be looking to return home with valuable points as the BC Premier League season continues.
