Kamloops United FC is set to host Altitude FC this Saturday in Matchday 3 of the 2025 League1 BC season, with both the men's and women's teams eager to make a strong impression at McArthur Island.
The men's team enters the match with a perfect 2-0-0 record, having secured victories over Langley United FC and Evolution FC. These wins have propelled them to the top of the League1 BC standings, showcasing a potent attack and solid defensive organization. A third consecutive win would further solidify their position as early-season frontrunners.
The women's side, under head coach Haley Bartram, is seeking their first points of the season after two competitive matches. Despite the setbacks, the team is focused on growth and cohesion, aiming to capitalize on home advantage to turn their fortunes around.
Saturday's fixture also welcomes back former KUFC goalkeeper Kelsey Fisher, now with Altitude FC. Fisher was a standout last season, earning team MVP honors and being named League1 BC's Goalkeeper of the Year. Her return adds an extra layer of intrigue to the matchup.
Altitude FC's men's team currently holds a 0-1-1 record, having drawn with Harbourside FC and lost to Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy. The women's team sits 2-0-0 with a perfect start to the season and sits at the top of the Women's Division, these two squads will be a good test for KUFC as they finish off their home stand before hitting the road.
The matches will be held at McArthur Island #2, with the women's game kicking off at 3:00 PM and the men's game at 5:30 PM. Admission is free, courtesy of this week's gameday sponsor, Westsyde Dental Center.
