Kamloops United FC hit the road to North Vancouver for a League1 BC doubleheader against Altitude FC this past weekend. Though both sides returned without wins, there was plenty of things to look forward to as the season rolls on.
Men’s Match: KUFC scored twice with goals from Deyan Vujovic and Lachlan Will but this wasn't enough as a strong Altitude side put 4 into the KUFC net, losing 4–2. Despite the result, the Men sit 5th in the Men's Table and are still firmly in the playoff hunt. With a quick turn in performance this weekend they can still keep their postseason hopes alive.
Women’s Match: Up against the league-leading Altitude, Kamloops fought hard but couldn’t score, falling 5–0. While the scoreline was tough, the team was up against the league's best and an unbeaten side. Their development this season continues to be encouraging, even if results haven’t yet turned.
With those matches behind them, both teams head home energized. This weekend brings Leg 2 of the Reid Davidson Charity Shield vs. Nanaimo United FC, and there’s more than just league points at stake. It’s a chance for redemption, a title, and a meaningful tribute — and both squads will arrive at Hillside ready to make a statement.
